Gypsy and Traveller
Accommodation Assessment

To meet the requirements of the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) for each Housing Authority to undertake a Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation Assessment, this study was commissioned by the South Housing Market Area Partnership (an extension of the sub-regional Housing Market Assessment, see report above).
The purpose of this Assessment is to provide information on the accommodation needs of Gypsies and Travellers for sub-regional and district level planning policy to set the appropriate number, type and distribution of additional pitches to be provided.
