More than 200 people attended a lively debate about the issues surrounding the necessary growth of South Worcestershire on 15 September 08 at The Swan Theatre in Worcester.

The panel was chaired by Professor David Green, Vice Chancellor and CE University of Worcester, acting in an independent capacity. Professor David Green is an economist who taught and researched for many years in University Business Schools in London and Leeds. David is a Board member of the Teaching and Development Agency for Schools, the West Midlands Regional Board of Sport England and GuildHE. A Board member of UUK, he sits on its Employment, Business and Industry Committee.
Panelists included:
Dr Rosemin Najmudin, freelance consultant on community inclusion and engagement (Waifs); is a qualified Consultant in Inclusion and Diversity and an experienced Health Trainer. Her expertise is working with and empowering diverse communities, women and children.
Christine Jones, CEO Concordia Services Ltd and former CEO, H&W Chamber and Business Link West Mercia. Christine is a director of the Central Technology Belt, and of Malvern Hills Science Park. She is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
Rev. Robert Barlow, the “freerange vicar” is the Agricultural & Rural Chaplain for the Diocese of Worcester which essentially means working with other organisations involved with agriculture or rural communities.
A representative of the Worcestershire Youth Parliament also joined the panel.
