Green Infrastructure Study
(Faber Maunsell, July 2007)
This document was produced to inform the future development of Worcester which had been designated, by the Department for Communities and Local Government, as a New Growth Point. The study area only extends to 6kms beyond the City’s administrative boundary so it clearly does not cover the whole of the South Worcestershire study area. The strategic diagram has informed the direction of growth for Worcester. It is however considered insufficiently detailed to effectively inform a submission document and is in the process of being “refreshed”. For the purpose of the Preferred Options readers should also refer to the following studies: Historic Environment Statement for the Main Towns and other Towns and Green Infrastructure Study for the Growth Areas WWT and Archaeology which will inform the direction of growth for the other main towns.
