Discussion on the Site Allocations and Policies Plan for the villages and rural areas across South Worcestershire

Towards the end of last year we held consultations in the main towns across South Worcestershire, i.e.Worcester, Droitwich Spa, Evesham, Pershore in Wychavon and Malvern, Tenbury Wells and Upton-upon-Severn in Malvern Hills. Over 1000 people visited the staffed events and made their comments to the SWJCS team.

Now the focus is turning to the rural areas of the districts and planners will be asking residents, businesses and others where they think there are opportunities for houses, jobs, community facilities, open space and other land uses within some of the villages across the locality  to provide for future development needs. We will be asking local views on potential sites, and what sort of policies we will need to guide further development and ensure the rural areas of the district thrive towards the middle of the century.
